In Oki Niksokowa – All My Relations, I have worked for over a year, preparing paintings for Canada House Gallery that are very, very personal to me. They may also represent some pretty common themes for Canadians. The works represent relationships that I have with just some of the beings, things and places that have touched my life.

Buffalo Lodge finally gets set up at Siksika for the pow wow, despite gathering storm clouds, aggressive mosquitoes and prickly thistles.
Every year, we travel out to Siksika Nation for the August pow wow with our tipi. It's like going home. Old friends, and a familiarity with the land, the wind, the sun and the moon all contribute to a feeling of well-being as we begin to set camp, days before the actual event. This year is a bit different, with filming for the CAMP project involved.
