Calgary Folk Fest :: Festival Hall Public Art Opportunity
The City of Calgary’s public art division announced a new opportunity today for area, national and international artists. The call for artists is an interesting one in that it will combine a public art opportunity with the Calgary Folk Fest.
The project for the Festival Hall, located at 1215 10th Ave SE in the Inglewood district will be home to festival staff and volunteers. It will be a creative environment focussed as an artist and audience destination and play a vital role in developing a sense of community for musicians and other artists.
The Hall will be available for professional and community events and celebrations – a great venue for an artist or team of artists to create a legacy piece in a cross-disciplinary, creative setting.
